It is an unusual school in an unusual location and is run by an unusual teacher.

Rajesh Kumar is a shopkeeper by profession but spends hours every morning teaching around 80 children from the poorest of the poor in India’s capital.

The 43-year-old visited the construction of the Delhi transit station a few years ago and was disturbed by the sight of  many children playing at the site instead of attending school.

When he questioned the parents working at the sites they all said there were no schools in the vicinity and no one cared.

Consequently, his open-air class room was born - between pillars and beneath the tracks of the Delhi transit system, known as the Metro.

Every few minutes a train passes above, the children unperturbed by its sounds.

There are no chairs or tables and the children sit on rolls of polystyrene foam placed on the rubble.

Three rectangular patches of wall are painted black and used as a blackboard.

Anonymous donors have contributed cardigans, books, shoes and stationery for the children, as their parents cannot afford them.

One unnamed individual sends a bag full of biscuits and fruit juice for the pupils every day - another incentive for the children to turn up for their studies.

What the fuck

No, fuck this! I am SO fucking sick of people making excuses for this boy! ‘he was diagnosed with depression!’ ‘it’s the media’s fault!’ ‘fame made him this way!’ ‘he’s only human’

He is an irresponsible, arrogant twat.  He’s 19 years old for gods sake! He’s only a year younger than me and yet he acts worse than my 8 year old nephew.

I have depression. I have PTSD. I was abused as a child. I was(still am) emotionally abused my entire life. For most my life I lived barely above the poverty line.

These do not excuse me from breaking the law and behaving like a fucking barbarian

The only person making Justin act the way he is is Justin. He is fucking old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. He is not a child, and knowing what is and is not appropriate behaviour isn’t rocket science.

He was drag racing, and drag racing drunk. Would you feel the same way about him if someone was unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and was hit by him? What if a little kid being a little kid decided to run and play outside at night because that’s what kids do?

He could have seriously injured or killed someone. It’s a miracle no one was fucking hurt.

He needs to grow the fuck up and pull his head out of his ass.

His issues are no fucking excuse for his behaviour.

THESE PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO ALL THE FAMILIES WHO HAVE LOST LOVED ONES BECAUSE OF DRUNK DRIVING WHY THEY SUPPORT HIM

A brutal and misguided mass-cull of sharks will soon begin in Western Australia. We have just days to get it stopped.
All human deaths at sea are tragic — but this knee-jerk response is scientifically unproven and pushes already vulnerable species to the brink.
Let’s pile the pressure on WA Premier Colin Barnett to halt the senseless shark attack.

Tips for self defense in places where you can’t use the likes of pepper spray etc (it’s also legal).

  1. Use a house key or a car key
  2. If you have key rings on the keys, simply keep these in the palm of your hand and hold tight.
  3. Place the key between your ring finger and your middle finger - do not place it between your index and middle finger as it’s a weaker hold.
  4. If you want to be discreet, keep this position in your coat pocket or somewhere where you can keep the keys hidden. If you don’t have a pocket, try keeping hold of the keys in your hand but within your sleeve - as if they were too big for you.
  5. If you feel in danger or someone goes to attack you, try to jab your attacker in the places circled in red. These are weak spots and will give off a feeling of being stabbed, however there will be no wound - it’ll just stun your attacker and bide you enough time to run.
  6. Try to aim for the lower areas such as the stomach and sides, these are weaker spots, however the middle of the chest and neck help too. This is the same for women.

This is important.

I do this on every walk home if it’s just me

The more you know.

Make Your Move is an effort from Missoula’s Intervention in Action Project, a group of community organizations dedicated to ending sexual violence. Its campaign’s goals are to: 1) Engage men and women as allies to prevent sexual violence by increasing awareness and education about the dynamics of sexual violence and 2) Encourage bystanders to foster healthy non-violent relationships and interrupt attitudes, language and actions that support sexual violence.

See this… this is how it’s done.

No “you don’t look chunky, you look beautiful.”
No “you don’t look chunky” at all.

Just complete acceptance. Yeah, you look how you do, and how you look is beautiful. Mama gets it.
